I finally convinced my husband to convert our vacant backyard to a swimming pool. It wouldn’t be a big pool though, just enough for us to enjoy a cool dip during summer. I want to be hands-on with the design so though we hired a contractor to do it, I was the one who chose the tile design for the pool’s floor, wall and even the landscaping around the pool.

My wife is now putting to life her concepts of a dream kitchen. The very elegant layout, the old-fashion cabinets, the granite kitchen top, and the very eye-catching porcelain tile which was a dream yesterday and is now coming to a reality. I know from the very first time she told me about her kitchen renovation plans that it will be wonderful, but when it was done it was amazing.

I have been making some improvements in our bathroom for a couple of weeks already but it seems that I can’t get any satisfaction. Not until I saw this particular restroom in a hotel that made me realize what I have been missing. The bathroom faucets they installed were simple and yet exudes stylish and elegant finishes, design and style. I took some photos of those faucets and plans to buy a pair, one of these days.

In any area or room, providing the appropriate lighting fixture either completes or destroys the total look. Due to this, I am very keen on choosing the right home theater lighting for the little theater that I have set up in my house. The room is not really much – just a medium size idle area that I’ve converted in an entertainment room. However, with the equipment that I’ve invested on and after the installation of the lighting fixtures that I chose, this room will probably be where I’ll be spending most of my time whenever I am at home.

Every day we use our bathroom, so it’s a nice thing to give your bathroom a spacious and artistic look that will relax and invigorate your self in preparation for a day ahead. As a parent, I do believe and practice the reward system. I don’t spoil my kids by giving them all the toys that they want. Instead, I assist them in coming up with a goal for each toy that they want. My youngest daughter was recently declared number one in her class. As a gift to her, I bought the wooden swing sets that she had been wanting ever since we saw it in the toy store. By doing the reward system, I teach my children the value of working for what they want.
